This family wanted to enjoy the summer dining outside, bug free in a screened in porch and deck. One concern was that a porch would make the kitchen too dark. This problem was eliminated by installing 5 skylights, giving them plenty of light into there kitchen.
This older pressure treated deck was removed as the client wanted a larger open mahogany deck that was welcoming and inviting to the elegant screened in porch.
This deck had become far too weathered, with a stairway that was plain and uninteresting. Now this client enjoys a spacious, low-maintenance deck with attractive, updated railings and decking, and a new stairway made from new composite materials featuring an attractive landing that introduces a terraced feeling to their new outdoor entertainment space.
This new mahogany deck was custom designed and created to enhance the client’s new patio and pool deck. The client wanted to not only replace their tired old deck, but also to create a multi-use, multi-level space for lounging, partying, and enjoying their hot tub.
“Mark Mercer recently completed an extensive remodel of our 1930s era basement. He did a superb job in spite of the limitations associated with an older home, and he was creative in solving a variety of cosmetic and structural issues. Mark is very professional and communicated daily with us throughout the project, which eliminated any unforeseen surprises. He coordinated and supervised his subcontractors — all were courteous and neat. Mark is a perfectionist who paid attention to every detail. We were extremely pleased with his ideas, craftsmanship, and dependability. We unconditionally recommend Mark to others doing a remodel project or addition.”
